As the anaesthetic kicks in, it's
started to affect her breathing. She's taking little breaths,
but they're little. OK, start with that, see if that
makes a difference. It's not going to do any harm. Sometimes under anaesthetic,
particularly in puppies, the body of such forgets to breathe as we've
depressed the respiratory centres in the body, so we can take
over from that for the patients. And often animals regain the ability
to breathe for themselves once the induction agent wears off. Oh, look at that. Perfect breathing.
Yes. She's breathing better now she's
settled under the anaesthetic and we've got her... She's
breathing by herself. So we can now let her take over
and we'll just monitor that we don't need to give her any extra
breaths, but she's doing well, doing it by herself at the moment
