This is it, coming here. The other kidney,
you can see, looks different. This is the other kidney - that's
what it's supposed to look like. That's not a happy kidney either. Saying too much now is, you know,
it might be a bit premature, so it's best just to have some time
to sit down and look at it and see what we decide to do, but that kidney definitely
does not look normal. We're all finished. Having looked at Nugget's kidney
scans, Anna's worried. It could be cancer,
and it could spread. When it doesn't look like something
that could potentially be benign, you get a bit nervous. You start thinking,
"Right, where is this? "Is it invading into anything? Can
I remove it? Can I remove it well?" Because if it is cancer, if I can get a good, clean surgery, hopefully that will either
fully remove what's going on, or at least it'll give
the best possible chance for as long as a survival time
as possible, with as little distress
to the patient and the family

This is it, coming here.
00:00:03.084 --> 00:00:06.032
The other kidney,
you can see, looks different.
00:00:06.032 --> 00:00:09.072
This is the other kidney - that's
what it's supposed to look like.
00:00:09.072 --> 00:00:12.012
That's not a happy kidney either.
00:00:12.012 --> 00:00:15.056
Saying too much now is, you know,
it might be a bit premature,
00:00:15.056 --> 00:00:18.044
so it's best just to have some time
to sit down and look at it
00:00:18.044 --> 00:00:19.072
and see what we decide to do,
00:00:19.072 --> 00:00:22.001
but that kidney definitely
does not look normal.
00:00:22.001 --> 00:00:23.919
We're all finished.
00:00:23.919 --> 00:00:27.044
Having looked at Nugget's kidney
scans, Anna's worried.
00:00:27.044 --> 00:00:30.012
It could be cancer,
and it could spread.
00:00:30.012 --> 00:00:34.016
When it doesn't look like something
that could potentially be benign,
00:00:34.016 --> 00:00:35.056
you get a bit nervous.
00:00:35.056 --> 00:00:38.056
You start thinking,
"Right, where is this?
00:00:38.056 --> 00:00:42.999
"Is it invading into anything? Can
I remove it? Can I remove it well?"
00:00:42.999 --> 00:00:44.004
Because if it is cancer,
00:00:44.004 --> 00:00:46.088
if I can get a good, clean surgery,
00:00:46.088 --> 00:00:50.998
hopefully that will either
fully remove what's going on,
00:00:50.998 --> 00:00:52.048
or at least it'll give
the best possible chance
00:00:52.048 --> 00:00:54.084
for as long as a survival time
as possible,
00:00:54.084 --> 00:00:57.052
with as little distress
to the patient and the family.
