A word of advice for young teachers
with discipline problems. When two students are talking, it can be quite effective to place two fingers on the table while pursuing the lesson. The table becomes a transitional object
between teacher and student, and it's incredible to see this silences students. It's very effective. Another word of advice
for young teachers... Never turn your back to the whole class. Even when checking the work
of a student here, say, or there, I keep my back to the wall while retaining control of the space and of each student
