My life changed so much
as he became iller. It was difficult at times.
There were terrible strains. Terrible strains on us both. He was dying from Aids.
That had to shape the way in which we lived our lives. We weren't going to carry on
as though there was nothing wrong because there was something
terribly wrong. There were many times
when we felt bitterly angry that our relationship was going to
end because of George's death. What can you do
when someone you love changes before your eyes,
becomes so ill? It just brought us very, very close. We had to depend
and trust each other deeply. We had to make a commitment
