We wanted to make sure that
everybody was supported on the ward. We did everything we could to enable
partners to stay over at night so they'd be on an old Spenco
mattress that we put on the floor. But some people
were very, very isolated because they hadn't told anybody. Perhaps they are living
some sort of a double life, if they are homosexual. Their families don't always know,
so that's a very tricky situation. That's what we saw all of the time, you know, people who'd been
rejected by their family. There was somebody and they said
because of how...they'd died, they didn't want any... He didn't
deserve anybody at his funeral
