(COUGHING) GRACE: He said I was
pleased to see him. He said we drank a shot
of whiskey to steady us and clinked our glasses and drank to the success
of our venture. I could not have
acted so heartlessly with Mr. Kinnear lying
dead in the cellar. Not to mention Nancy, who must have been dead, too. But McDermott
was a great liar. What I remember is waking up
to a beautiful night. I was in Nancy's clothes. And I looked up at the sky, which
seemed so close I could touch it. I thought that the sky was only
a thin surface, like paper, and it was being singed away. And behind it
was a cold blackness. And it was not heaven or even
hell that I was looking at, but only emptiness. This was more frightening
than anything I could think of and I prayed silently to God
to forgive my sins

GRACE: He said I was
pleased to see him.
00:00:10.028 --> 00:00:12.055
He said we drank a shot
of whiskey to steady us
00:00:12.058 --> 00:00:14.002
and clinked our glasses
00:00:14.001 --> 00:00:16.009
and drank to the success
of our venture.
00:00:17.035 --> 00:00:19.015
I could not have
acted so heartlessly
00:00:19.019 --> 00:00:21.026
with Mr. Kinnear lying
dead in the cellar.
00:00:21.029 --> 00:00:22.059
Not to mention Nancy,
00:00:22.062 --> 00:00:24.032
who must have been dead, too.
00:00:25.033 --> 00:00:27.003
But McDermott
was a great liar.
00:00:28.039 --> 00:00:31.002
What I remember is waking up
to a beautiful night.
00:00:32.004 --> 00:00:33.097
I was in Nancy's clothes.
00:00:35.074 --> 00:00:39.028
And I looked up at the sky, which
seemed so close I could touch it.
00:00:40.007 --> 00:00:43.077
I thought that the sky was only
a thin surface, like paper,
00:00:43.081 --> 00:00:45.097
and it was being singed away.
00:00:46.998 --> 00:00:48.021
And behind it
was a cold blackness.
00:00:48.025 --> 00:00:51.029
And it was not heaven or even
hell that I was looking at,
00:00:51.032 --> 00:00:53.003
but only emptiness.
00:00:54.003 --> 00:00:56.096
This was more frightening
than anything I could think of
00:00:56.099 --> 00:00:59.052
and I prayed silently to God
to forgive my sins.
