starting this trip I posted on various travel groups asking
if any strangers starting a new chapter in life wanted to
go somewhere meaningful to
them. One response from Laurie
struck me the most. We developed
a friendship as we talked over the next few weeks
and I learned that after suffering
the loss of multiple loved ones over the past two years,
she and her husband Keith decided to sell their farm
in Iowa and commit to a life of traveling and selling
Christmas trees all over the country
