By noon time, it was dark. If women were to hang
their clothes out, if it was white, by the end of the day, this soot
would fall over everything, and that was all day long. It wasn't a very nice place to live, but if you're living there
and there's no other place to go, everybody sort of put up with it. # When you're growing up
