Monet was not a religious man

you've read about in the Bible. "Instead, worship nature, worship,
colour, worship the atmosphere, "worship light, worship the ever
changing appearance of the world." And I think he's also saying,
"Worship the pictures that I, "Claude Monet, have managed
to forge from all that, "the monuments that I have created
in defiance of time." Two decades later, Simon Schama
built on Andrew's spiritual journey beyond bricks and mortar,
