The surrealist painter Andre Masson
once described these two oval rooms as the Sistine Chapel of
Impressionism. The Grandes Decorations
are definitely some of his most important works and he certainly felt that they were his most
important works. He called them the
Grandes Decorations. He capitalised the "G" and the "D". He gave them that importance. He knew this was the end
of his life and he wanted to make one grand final statement. Waldemar's immersive documentary
style allows the viewer to glide through the Grandes Decorations
as he offers a whole new perspective on Monet's final paintings
