When we think of the Western Front,
we think of, you know, the bombs, the bullets
and people dying in that way, but for the stretcher-bearers,
it would have been not just physically hazardous,
but the emotional trauma that those guys
must have been going through, dealing with the dead and wounded,
I just can't imagine that
