Beethoven can express emotions
in music in a way that you can never
quite do it in words. One of Beethoven's pupils
is Dorothea Ertmann, who is a very fine pianist indeed, one of the best pianists
at the time, and she has a child who,
unfortunately, dies at the age of only three. According to
Dorothea's recollections, Beethoven comes and visits her
and he just sits down at the piano and plays to her
without saying a word
