Napoleon has just proclaimed
himself Emperor. He'd seen Napoleon as liberating
Europe from tyranny and now he's going to become
a tyrant himself, and so Beethoven
is absolutely furious. So, he too is nothing more
than an ordinary man. Now, he will also trample
all human rights underfoot and only pander to his own ambition. He will place himself above
everyone else and become a tyrant
