you will be fired." Beethoven the boy shows us already
the signs of the composer, of the older man. Wild, going to the extremes,
trying out unusual things, and being very creative in his
music, be it improvised or written. "Now that I've reached my 11th year,
in hours of blissful solitude, "my muse has often whispered to me, "'Try to write down the harmonies
of your soul.' "I was almost shy, "yet it was the will of my muse. "I obeyed and wrote."
