In April 1945, Soviet director
Yuli Raizman makes a film about the end
of the so-called Third Reich. He has 38 Red Army cameramen
at his disposal. The title of the film - Berlin. The liberation of the city by
the Red Army is to be documented. It is due to start on April 16th at the Oder with
the Battle of the Seelow Heights, 70km outside of Berlin. At the banks of the river,
the Red Army has gathered - 2.5 million soldiers,
over 6,000 tanks, 7,000 aircraft and 41,000 artillery
