Bishop Sycamore just
skipped the part where they make the kids go
to class or do their work. There are a lot of
schools in the nation that put football first. Some of them do it a
bit more reputably. Some of them are
legitimately providing an opportunity for kids who
otherwise wouldn't have it. So what you wind
up with is a school that has very good teachers
and everything else, but that is there to supplement
the athletic programs rather than the
athletic programs being a supplement
to the school. Bishop Sycamore is just the
most extreme example of that, where the academics was a lie
