long day. Come home quite late, went to bed as
usual sort of thing. But I was, obviously, on this unit, serious
and organized crime unit. When if ever there was anything to-to be called out about, they'd ring the DSes first so you'd get your team out
or whatever. Wednesday,
the 22nd of February, 3:30 in the morning my phone went off. My phone rings. I wake up. Everyone has this image that, you know, in a Columbo moment I get up and I swing
my legs out of bed and I light the cigarette and start talking
on the phone loudly while my wife's trying
to sleep in the bed. Didn't happen. I got up and cleared my head, you know, splashed some water on my face, and went downstairs and
rang the number back
