Birds out in front. Right. Come with me. Originally from England, Alex is
employed by the Irish Grouse Conservation Trust to manage
around 1,000 acres of the moor. Since he started, grouse numbers
have risen from just five pairs to well into the hundreds. They tend to sit that
tight in Northern Ireland, you only really put them up when you're nearly standing
on top of them. A lot of people, you know,
say they don't know a lot about the moors,
you would think it was bleak, but actually, managed moors hold more wildlife than
anywhere else
