Just rebaiting these traps. I've been trying to get round to
them for a while. It's just mostly for rats, really. Especially wintertime, when the farmers have got sheep
out on the hill, they're always putting out meal,
just give them a boost of energy through the winter,
so it attracts the rats. The rats can be a huge pain
for ground-nesting birds, especially the eggs and the chicks. So it's good to get them
under control now rather than later on in the spring,
when they can do damage. Get the heater on

Just rebaiting these traps.
00:00:02.008 --> 00:00:05.032
I've been trying to get round to
them for a while.
00:00:05.032 --> 00:00:08.028
It's just mostly for rats, really.
00:00:08.028 --> 00:00:09.084
Especially wintertime,
00:00:09.084 --> 00:00:12.008
when the farmers have got sheep
out on the hill,
00:00:12.008 --> 00:00:15.028
they're always putting out meal,
just give them a boost of energy
00:00:15.028 --> 00:00:17.052
through the winter,
so it attracts the rats.
00:00:17.052 --> 00:00:20.052
The rats can be a huge pain
for ground-nesting birds,
00:00:20.052 --> 00:00:22.028
especially the eggs and the chicks.
00:00:23.092 --> 00:00:26.008
So it's good to get them
under control now rather than
00:00:26.008 --> 00:00:29.016
later on in the spring,
when they can do damage.
00:00:30.084 --> 00:00:31.088
Get the heater on.
