was almost fished out, so, the price of whale oil
for lamps was rocketing. In 1859, a bogus army colonel
dug a hole in Pennsylvania, and found the answer: oil. Our hero's name was Edwin Drake. And thanks to him,
there'd be oil lamps forever. Well, what else
could you do with it?
