Always a fisherman's cottage
ever since I can remember, yeah. Winnie didn't live in there,
did she? Yeah, she did. Yeah, she lived there. Jason hasn't heard back from
the estate, but he's come to see
the cottage, anyway. The were all lived in by
oyster people, oystermen and their families, over the years,
you know? That's the village was built on -
oysters, oyster-dredging, you know? The cottage is being renovated - never a good sign round this way
for prospective tenants. It's another one that's gone,
really. You'll never seen another fisherman
living in there again. We've all been outpriced
by all of it, you know? Yeah. It's a sad sign
of the times. Yeah, it is. That's what it is. Now they're just people from
everywhere that have got no interest in any of the fisheries
and couldn't care less about it, I suppose, really. No-one will ever remember it... No.

Movie Summary
Documentary series exploring life for the people of the fishing village of Mevagissey on Cornwall's south coast, which has bucked the trend that has seen the fishing industry die out in other parts of the county.
