Nine shots, one dead policeman. Another wounded,
and Newton shot. [Jamal] And then, Bobby Hutton, the first to join the Panthers
in Oakland, was shot in the back
and killed at age 17. [reporter]
He was running without arms, having left the basement
where he and Eldridge Cleaver had taken refuge
after a gun battle involving 50 policemen,
shooting a thousand rounds. [Jamal] And then it became more
clear our lives were in danger. [Marlon Brando] We just came
