Sorry I'm late. Alright. Last class we talked aboutdictatorships, so today... we'll start with Hegel. It was Hegel who said... all the great world events... happen twice. And then Karl Marx added... the first time it was a tragedy,the second time... a farce. It's strange to think... a lot of the world thinkers are worriedthat this century... will be a repetition of the last one. And there is an interesting observation... a creative... to remember something,to remember somebody... is uh... is in fact limited. always

Sorry I'm late
00:00:04.801 --> 00:00:05.701
Alright
00:00:07.102 --> 00:00:09.702
Last class we talked about dictatorships so today
00:00:10.303 --> 00:00:11.803
we'll start with Hegel
00:00:14.204 --> 00:00:15.704
It was Hegel who said
00:00:15.705 --> 00:00:17.905
all the great world events
00:00:18.406 --> 00:00:19.606
happen twice
00:00:20.107 --> 00:00:22.408
And then Karl Marx added
00:00:22.409 --> 00:00:24.709
the first time it was a tragedy the second time
00:00:25.031 --> 00:00:26.051
a farce
00:00:28.911 --> 00:00:31.999
It's strange to think
00:00:31.912 --> 00:00:35.012
a lot of the world thinkers are worried that this century
00:00:35.998 --> 00:00:37.813
will be a repetition of the last one
00:00:39.914 --> 00:00:41.794
And there is an interesting observation
00:00:42.215 --> 00:00:44.115
a creative dialogue inaudible over background music
00:00:44.116 --> 00:00:46.316
to remember something to remember somebody
00:00:46.717 --> 00:00:47.417
is uh
00:00:48.001 --> 00:00:49.418
is in fact limited
00:00:49.919 --> 00:00:51.419
always dialogue inaudible over background music
