[Josh] I mean,
just look at this place. Apex Surplus has been in
operation for nearly half a century. A family-owned business,
founded by William Slater who used to drive around L.A. picking up scrap metal
and surplus goods from Lockheed, Webber Aircraft
and Boeing, just to name a few. It all began
as an electronics junkyard, and morphed over the years to become
the number one resource for prop masters looking to build unique
contraptions for TV and film. Not only did they provide Kevin
Pike with the resources he needed to build the time machine
from Back to the Future, but they have been instrumental in
the making of a ton of blockbusters. Air Force One, Bladerunner,
Ghostbusters, The Matrix, Titanic
