[Josh] This is all pretty
surreal, don't you think? As is the back story
on this truck. After completing its run
in Back to the Future, it was stolen twice and ended up
being recovered in Mexico after a brief career
of hauling drugs across the border. True story. It eventually made its way into the hands of Bill
and Patrick who gave it a full frame-off restoration
to get it back to its original
screen-used condition. It wasn't enough for them
that they'd found the vehicle that, once upon a time,
was Marty's Toyota. No. They needed it
to be that truck again. Finding the right parts
for a truck built in the '80s was tough, not time machine tough,
but still. It took them 11 months
to complete the restoration. But would you expect
anything less from these two? Talk about obsessed. And, yes, I'm here
to find a time machine, but right now I have time-warped straight back into my childhood. Can I just stay here
for a few more minutes? Is that possible? We have more to show you.

[Josh] This is all pretty
surreal, don't you think?
00:00:03.102 --> 00:00:05.337
As is the back story
on this truck.
00:00:05.371 --> 00:00:07.472
After completing its run
in Back to the Future,
00:00:07.507 --> 00:00:09.107
it was stolen twice
00:00:09.142 --> 00:00:11.409
and ended up
being recovered in Mexico
00:00:11.444 --> 00:00:13.445
after a brief career
of hauling drugs
00:00:13.479 --> 00:00:14.746
across the border.
00:00:14.781 --> 00:00:16.248
True story.
00:00:16.282 --> 00:00:17.783
It eventually made its way
00:00:17.817 --> 00:00:19.985
into the hands of Bill
and Patrick who gave it
00:00:20.998 --> 00:00:23.012
a full frame-off restoration
to get it back
00:00:23.156 --> 00:00:25.099
to its original
screen-used condition.
00:00:26.001 --> 00:00:28.593
It wasn't enough for them
that they'd found the vehicle
00:00:28.628 --> 00:00:30.996
that, once upon a time,
was Marty's Toyota.
00:00:31.001 --> 00:00:34.432
No. They needed it
to be that truck again.
00:00:34.467 --> 00:00:35.801
Finding the right parts
for a truck
00:00:35.835 --> 00:00:37.569
built in the '80s was tough,
00:00:37.603 --> 00:00:39.938
not time machine tough,
but still.
00:00:40.002 --> 00:00:42.774
It took them 11 months
to complete the restoration.
00:00:42.842 --> 00:00:45.877
But would you expect
anything less from these two?
00:00:45.912 --> 00:00:47.679
Talk about obsessed.
00:00:47.713 --> 00:00:49.514
And, yes, I'm here
to find a time machine,
00:00:49.549 --> 00:00:51.817
but right now I have time-warped
00:00:51.851 --> 00:00:54.998
straight back into my childhood.
00:00:54.997 --> 00:00:55.554
Can I just stay here
for a few more minutes?
00:00:55.588 --> 00:00:56.888
Is that possible?
00:00:56.923 --> 00:00:59.002
