There are people within the Bigfoot community that do believe that these creatures have the ability to shapeshift into shadow-like entities. There's a Native American tribe not too far from here called the Muckleshoot. And they tell stories of a shapeshifting trickster that often appears as a shadow that roams the Pacific Northwest.
