What had happened to me was that at the beginning of the
summer, before Toby called me, I was heading into my second
year of being a stay-at-home mom and my thirteenth
year of marriage and my fifth year in a suburb
and my forty-first year of life. But none of that changed
who I essentially was, which was a magazine
writer with no assignment. That didn't stop me from
pontificating all over the suburbs. You know what I think?

Movie Summary
Toby Fleishman knew what to expect when he and his wife of almost 15 years separated: weekends and every other holiday with the kids, some residual bitterness, and the occasional moment of tension in their co-parenting negotiations.
