He was running Looking Glass, and we decided, 'Let's, let's do this.' Everybody on the team
is a science fiction fan, and there were all these ideas in
science fiction about what it meant to have pervasive computers
everywhere because, remember, System Shock and Underworld were written at a
time where the idea of a computer on every desk was still strange, and so what it meant to
have pervasive computers around was powerful
