Phil Sheridan to get out in front
of Robert E. Lee and keep him from getting
to that railroad and those supplies. [soldiers clamoring] ‐ It's a vicious fight. At one point, Sheridan, he's
actually on horseback himself and launches himself
over Confederate attackers, ordering the men to surrender. ‐ The Confederates
will lose this battle, and they lose
the Southside Railroad
