Well, I would say that
the most powerful moment, the one where I had
the largest epiphany was towards the end of
the chemo and radiation, I was really weak and I told my brother I just
wanted to go to the beach and I wanted to be in the sun, so he carried me and
laid me in the grass and then he went
out on the beach, and I was just laying
there looking at everybody and I was watching people
rollerblade and bicycle and walk with each
other and laugh, and I just wish I could've
told each of those people, "You're so fortunate." It occurred to me
that this life is, it's as beautiful or as
terrible as you make it and we have so much beauty
and opportunity around us

- Well, I would say that
the most powerful moment,
00:00:06.405 --> 00:00:08.173
the one where I had
the largest epiphany
00:00:08.173 --> 00:00:11.579
was towards the end of
the chemo and radiation,
00:00:13.579 --> 00:00:15.008
I was really weak
00:00:15.008 --> 00:00:16.615
and I told my brother I just
wanted to go to the beach
00:00:16.615 --> 00:00:17.095
and I wanted to be in the sun,
00:00:17.095 --> 00:00:20.989
so he carried me and
laid me in the grass
00:00:22.989 --> 00:00:25.999
and then he went
out on the beach,
00:00:25.999 --> 00:00:28.395
and I was just laying
there looking at everybody
00:00:28.395 --> 00:00:30.053
and I was watching people
rollerblade and bicycle
00:00:31.053 --> 00:00:34.968
and walk with each
other and laugh,
00:00:34.968 --> 00:00:37.436
and I just wish I could've
told each of those people,
00:00:37.436 --> 00:00:38.771
"You're so fortunate."
00:00:38.771 --> 00:00:40.707
It occurred to me
that this life is,
00:00:40.707 --> 00:00:43.511
it's as beautiful or as
terrible as you make it
00:00:44.511 --> 00:00:48.584
and we have so much beauty
and opportunity around us.
