Hey, Tito
- Hello - Is that bamboo?
- This is bamboo - [Carla] Oh, my gosh!
- [Jamila] It looks a little different than the bamboo you
guys have here - Mm-hmm Right - Remember the
bamboo that you hated and you wanted to get rid of We tamed it,
we made it beautiful and now it's like, here's how
you can apply it in your garden and something functional Things that
you can grow up on here, string beans Early spring, put those beans in
and they'll just grow up this trellis In the summertime,
you can put cucumbers - I love it
- It's so cool [Jamila] You guys wanted a
garden, we got you a garden Another really important element
of gardening is actually composting Composting is a way to use up your
vegetable scraps and all those things, so that you can kind of create your
own amendments back into the soil This is where you would layer
all of your materials So as you can see, we have
kind of like two different colors You always want a little bit of
brown, a little bit of green, right?

- Hey, Tito
- Hello
00:00:02.435 --> 00:00:04.605
- Is that bamboo?
- This is bamboo
00:00:04.669 --> 00:00:06.579
- [Carla] Oh, my gosh!
- [Jamila] It looks a little different
00:00:06.638 --> 00:00:08.108
than the bamboo you
guys have here - Mm-hmm
00:00:08.174 --> 00:00:09.874
Right - Remember the
bamboo that you hated
00:00:09.942 --> 00:00:11.542
and you wanted to get rid of
00:00:11.061 --> 00:00:14.028
We tamed it,
we made it beautiful
00:00:14.346 --> 00:00:17.516
and now it's like, here's how
you can apply it in your garden
00:00:17.582 --> 00:00:21.182
and something functional Things that
you can grow up on here, string beans
00:00:21.253 --> 00:00:24.623
Early spring, put those beans in
and they'll just grow up this trellis
00:00:24.069 --> 00:00:27.046
In the summertime,
you can put cucumbers
00:00:27.526 --> 00:00:28.726
- I love it
- It's so cool
00:00:28.794 --> 00:00:31.364
[Jamila] You guys wanted a
garden, we got you a garden
00:00:31.043 --> 00:00:35.002
Another really important element
of gardening is actually composting
00:00:35.267 --> 00:00:39.777
Composting is a way to use up your
vegetable scraps and all those things,
00:00:39.838 --> 00:00:43.748
so that you can kind of create your
own amendments back into the soil
00:00:43.809 --> 00:00:46.379
This is where you would layer
all of your materials
00:00:46.445 --> 00:00:48.315
So as you can see, we have
kind of like two different colors
00:00:48.038 --> 00:00:51.049
You always want a little bit of
brown, a little bit of green, right?
