At the US Embassy in Panama there was increased security today. Officials insisted
there was nothing abnormal about it. If we keep the Shah in this country,
this will be dictatorship again. So we don't want the Shah in Panama. There was the first interruption
of the peaceful reception the Shah has received here. There were scattered demonstrations
united only by one theme. That the Shah leave Panama. Any police car or government vehicle
was an open target for violence. I took the Shah in a convertible car and I noticed that
he was a little bit scared to get into a convertible car
