November 4th was another workday,
it was the beginning of the workday and I do remember specifically
that I needed a haircut and thinking "I... Should... should I go get
a haircut and then go in later?" I was at the Iran-American Society getting ready for a staff meeting when my secretary came in and she said,
"You need to take this phone call." So I picked up the phone, and he said "There are demonstrations
in front of the Embassy and they're very serious." And he said, "Be very careful." On November 4th we had a meeting
that had been scheduled with the legal affairs department at the Iranian Foreign Ministry
at ten o'clock
