The first hint that something
was seriously wrong came from the stock exchange, where this afternoon,
trading was suspended in Mr. Maxwell's companies
at their request. It was a statement
from the Mirror Group, which first revealed
that the company chairman was missing at sea and that a full search
was under way. -A sea and air search began after three further extensive
searches of the ship found no trace of Mr. Maxwell. Mr. Maxwell's family were immediately informed
