Sadly, it seems the wallabies would
remain a mystery to me. I retreated to the smaller island of
Clairinsh and set up camp. I was definitely disappointed not to
reach Inchconnachan, but I'd always been prepared to go
with my gut on this adventure. I'd booked various forms of
accommodation in advance - from bunkhouses to bothies,
even the occasional swish hotel - but plonking a one-man tent on an
island in Loch Lomond that you have all to yourself, that's five-star
accommodation if you ask me
