The West Highland Way
stretches 96 miles - from Milngavie, on the outskirts
of Glasgow, to Fort William. It's a big ask of any walker,
but I planned to take it at my own pace and enjoy some
diversions along the way. Any walker can tackle any
section of the West Highland Way. All you need are a sturdy pair
of walking boots, some appropriate clothes, and if you're anything like me,
maybe a flask of tea, as well. The first day would see me take on
the 20 miles from Milngavie, through the hutting community in
Carbeth, skirting past Drymen, and heading over Conic Hill to
finally arrive in Balmaha on the shores of Loch Lomond
