It seems George didn't realize that several years earlier
a young archaeologist named David West Reynolds
had contacted LucasFilm about finding
the lost locations. LucasFilm's response
had been something like, "We're not sure.
Turn left at Algeria." It was a spectacular success
and I published the story just because
I wanted to share it. Unfortunately,
no one at LucasFilm had read it. Eventually the article found its way
on to Rick McCallum's desk - and he said...
- "Get him on the phone." And they flew David to Tunis. He identified
every single location
