Eric Schmidt, former chairman of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, became the chairman of the Defense Innovation Board, and one of their first priorities was to say, "We need more artificial intelligence integrated into the military." I've worked with a group of volunteers over the last couple of years to take a look at innovation in the overall military, and my summary conclusion is that we have fantastic people who are trapped in a very bad system
