between 2007 and 2013, it's likely that for every six people
you saw on screen, four would be male and only two would be female. If a movie had a cast of 42 actors,
instead of 21 men and 21 women, you would see and hear from
28 men but only 14 women. Overall, less than a third of all characters
in animated films were female. And when you see this represented
over and over again, it starts to look normal
