Onward is the story of two elf brothers who go on a quest to find
a little bit of magic that will allow them to spend one day
with the father that they lost. That was the way we came up
with the world was just thinking, "How could it ever be possible
to meet a person who had died?" So then, we thought magic. What if they did a magic spell
and they were able to bring Dad back? And that was it, the genesis of why the movie takes place in a world
that involves magic
a little bit of magic that will allow them to spend one day
with the father that they lost. That was the way we came up
with the world was just thinking, "How could it ever be possible
to meet a person who had died?" So then, we thought magic. What if they did a magic spell
