What's important is that
we at the studio can look at the films that we're releasing
over the next five years and say, in the aggregate of what we're doing, can we hit 50-50
over the course of these seven movies. Representation matters because I think it's important that
even if it's a fish or a toy or a car, that people are able to see themselves or something that they believe
represents themselves on screen. I love the characters
that we make at Pixar. I think they are three-dimensional. I think they are funny and human, and I am so excited
to see more female characters that get to live in that space as well

What's important is that
we at the studio can look at the films
00:00:03.961 --> 00:00:06.881
that we're releasing
over the next five years and say,
00:00:06.964 --> 00:00:09.003
in the aggregate of what we're doing,
00:00:09.383 --> 00:00:12.803

Representation matters
00:00:15.556 --> 00:00:19.685
because I think it's important that
even if it's a fish or a toy or a car,
00:00:19.769 --> 00:00:22.146
that people are able to see themselves
00:00:22.023 --> 00:00:25.107
or something that they believe
represents themselves on screen.
00:00:26.734 --> 00:00:29.032
I love the characters
that we make at Pixar.
00:00:29.403 --> 00:00:31.989
I think they are three-dimensional.
00:00:32.073 --> 00:00:34.003
I think they are funny and human,
00:00:34.158 --> 00:00:36.828
and I am so excited
to see more female characters
00:00:36.911 --> 00:00:39.539
that get to live in that space as well.
