I think that's where I started really questioning myself and feeling more lost. ‐ You know, at that point, I thought
I was on top of the world, but the lowest point
was when I did my record. Hip‐hop was my thing. I grew up listening to NWA
and, you know, all that, and like... of course I made a hip‐hop album. It's... it's what I knew. I remember people not reviewing it well, and that was the first like experience
I had with failure at something. So I remember at that point like going,
"Holy shit, people don't like me," and, you know, that's when you
start getting in your head and you start worrying
about what you're wearing or how you're walking
or what you're doing or how you're perceived. It was the first time
that I was like really aware of
