Hello. Hello. Olivia just wants to pat this dog. Which one? Just turn round. Ah. You need to ask permission. My niece wants to pat your
dog. Sure, yeah. Is that OK? Oli... He's friendly. VOICE-OVER: In the past few years, I've seen some of the happiest
moments I've ever had. Perhaps simply because
you change the way you look at life. You notice the beauty around
you more. What kind of dog is he? VOICE-OVER: I try to acknowledge the
good times, places when I'm in them. A year old?!
Oh, my gosh. VOICE-OVER: I'll take a small mental
picture of the moment, the people, the sounds, the smells,
the light. GORDON: I know quite a good pizza
place. VOICE—OVER: It can release you

Movie Summary
An uplifting documentary about coping with inoperable cancer may sound unlikely, but here it is. Gordon was diagnosed eight years ago and began using the medium of queer comic books to confront his feelings and fears. He employs humour to get to the heart of taboos surrounding death and disease, weaving many of the wonderful carers and nurses he meets into his expressively illustrated world. Sage, sweet, and stimulating, it is also a long-distance love story between Edinburgh and Virginia, USA. We could all learn a thing or two about love, life – and death – from Gordon.
