visual point-of-view of the killer, or indeed the victim,
put ourselves inside the alcove and ask what you can
see from that space, which in turn, obviously,
would tell us who could see them and where they'd need to
be positioned to do so. In this instance, the positions are
limited, mostly thanks to
medieval architecture's reliance on columns, pillars,
arches and grilles
