the President could plausibly deny
that he approved the attempts to kill a foreign leader? "Plausible deniability"
means even if people don't believe you
when you say you're not involved
in this operation, there's no clear evidence. They wanted somebody else
to do it as opposed to the government. They want a middleman,
if you will
