Jordan Sanders: Someone once told him, it takes courage to be happy. He didn't understand it then, but he thinks he might now. The problem, he realized, is all the heartbreak. For some, it comes more often than others, but he knew well, it comes for everyone. The irony is how the heartbreak made his own life clearer; showed him a path to the happiness he'd been so desperate to find. Obviously, some people don't have that difficult a time. Some people are born happy and stay happy. And to those people, he thought, good for them. What a gift. For others, he knew, it's just the opposite. They fight losing battle after losing battle, until, finally, they lose the war. The rest, the majority even, it's a constant struggle - somedays good, some days not so good. They keep at it though; wake up each morning, hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. Which he knew was a cliche, but also believed that's what happiness was. The sad thing was, when he realized too late that he had once held the bottle, he held that bottle right in his hands, with the lighting buzzing around inside. He was just too stupid or too foolish or too proud to realize it. And he let it get away from him. So was that another heartbreak or another part of the struggle? The truth is, he didn't know yet. He just knew it would take some courage to find out

Someone once told him it took courage to be happy
00:00:05.271 --> 00:00:09.308
He didn't understand it then but he thinks he might now
00:00:11.244 --> 00:00:15.279
The problem he realized is all the heartbreak
00:00:15.281 --> 00:00:17.998
For some it comes more often than others
00:00:17.001 --> 00:00:22.488
but he knew well it comes for everyone
00:00:25.658 --> 00:00:27.792
The irony was how the heartbreak somehow
00:00:27.794 --> 00:00:33.831
made his own life clearer showed him
00:00:33.833 --> 00:00:37.236
a path to the happiness he'd been so desperate to find
00:00:40.406 --> 00:00:43.999
Obviously not everyone has that difficult a time
00:00:43.002 --> 00:00:46.677
Some people are born happy and stay happy
00:00:46.679 --> 00:00:51.182
And to those people he thought good for them
00:00:51.184 --> 00:00:52.385
What a gift
00:00:54.754 --> 00:00:58.956
For others he knew it's just the opposite
00:00:58.958 --> 00:01:04.007
They fight losing battle after losing battle
00:01:04.002 --> 00:01:07.965
until finally they lose the war
00:01:07.967 --> 00:01:12.637
The rest the majority even it's a constant struggle
00:01:12.639 --> 00:01:16.999
Some days good some days not so good
00:01:16.242 --> 00:01:18.999
They keep at it though wake up each morning
00:01:18.444 --> 00:01:21.345
hoping to catch lightning in a bottle which
00:01:21.999 --> 00:01:24.749
he knew was a cliche but also believed
00:01:24.751 --> 00:01:27.151
that's what happiness was
00:01:27.001 --> 00:01:30.001
The sad thing was when he realized too late that he
00:01:30.423 --> 00:01:33.691
had once held the bottle
00:01:33.693 --> 00:01:35.999
He held that bottle right in his hands
00:01:35.962 --> 00:01:39.001
with a lightning buzzing around inside
00:01:39.899 --> 00:01:45.136
He was just too stupid or too foolish or too proud
00:01:45.001 --> 00:01:50.107
to realize it and he let it get away from him
00:01:50.999 --> 00:01:54.378
So was that another heartbreak or another part
00:01:54.038 --> 00:01:56.881
of the struggle
00:01:56.883 --> 00:02:00.001
The truth is he didn't know yet
00:02:03.997 --> 00:02:09.007
He just knew it would take some courage to find out
