This is back in the middle of the 1980s, and Marvel was getting
all of these companies coming at Marvel, right and left, saying, "Hey, we want you to develop our property
into a comic book." These were toy companies, movie companies,
the National Football League, and so my job as an editor
was to work with the company to create their vision,
whatever that might be, and make it a successful comic book
