and it was my chance to pick it up? I dunno. I'm not really good
with medieval metaphors. All I knew was that I needed
to plumb the depths of Marvel's history and find characters
who never really got their shot. So I gathered my documentary crew to meet and talk
with some of my favorite Marvel writers, Reggie Hudlin, Donny Cates,
and Gerry Duggan, to pick their brains about some
Marvel history and forgotten characters. There's a great history in Marvel
of people taking underutilized characters -and taking them from B-list to A-list.
