of the top horse practices in the region, taking care of many
of the country's thoroughbreds. Jack is rushed straight
to their operating theatre. It's now a race
to try and save his life. This is an emergency situation
because the intestine came through, so it is an emergency to put it back
and to stitch it. Inge D'Haese, the most experienced
surgeon of the practice, will lead the operation. It's imperative that we work
as cleanly and as thoroughly as we can, because if there's
infection sets in in the abdomen, you're talking about peritonitis
and you might very easily lose a horse
