1944, four days after D-Day,
Germany soldiers arrived. The villagers had no idea why. Local mayor, Philippe Lacroix, recalls speaking to eye
witness, Robert Hebras, about how he felt
during this mysterious visit. [Philippe]
His mother told him, "You should hide
because they are going
to take you to Germany." He replied,
"But I see them everyday. He replied,
"But I see them everyday. I see soldiers
everyday in Limoges. They have never done
anything to me
